Poetic Tours at Meuse-Argonne and St. Mihiel American Cemeteries

Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery, in Romagne-sous-Montfaucon, France, and St. Mihiel American Cemetery, in Thiaucourt, France, are honored to announce their first participation in the Printemps des Poètes, a French national event celebrating poetry.

On this occasion, they will offer unique guided tours that provide a poetic perspective on the soldiers commemorated at these World War I commemorative sites.

Visitors will have the opportunity to discover these historically rich locations with our interpretive guides.

These one-hour poetic tours will combine personal soldier stories and readings of poems written by or for the American soldiers of World War I.

Poetic Tours at Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery

  • Saturday, March 22, 2025 – 3:15 p.m. (local time)
  • Sunday, March 23, 2025 – 3:15 p.m. (local time)
  • Meeting point: the central fountain of the cemetery
  • Registration: not required
  • Please note that the tours will be followed by the retiring of the colors at 4:30 p.m.

Poetic Tours at St. Mihiel American Cemetery

  • Sunday, March 23, 2025 – 3 p.m. (local time)
  • Meeting point: reception
  • Registration: required via email address [saint-mihiel@abmc.gov] or via phone +33 3 83 80 01 01.

We recommend wearing walking shoes for the comfort of our visitors and dressing warmly for the occasion.
